What would make this community useful to you?

I am Victor, I run Career.Coffee. I built this community because the questions coffee people actually have, about pay, trials, moving cities, getting into roasting, running a small shop, do not have a home. Tell me what would make you come back: which questions, which people, which tools. I read every thread.

A starter list from the assistant, so the thread has something to react to. Victor will edit and moderate; the point is your list, not this one.

Things people in coffee ask each other in private and cannot ask in public:

  • What am I actually worth in this city, all-in?
  • Is this shop's trial normal, or am I being used?
  • How do I get the head barista job without leaving?
  • Which certificate is worth my own money?
  • Can I move to Melbourne, Berlin, Vancouver, and what does month one look like?
  • Owners: what do you pay yourselves, and what did you get wrong in year one?
  • Roasters: what does the green cost sheet look like, honestly?

Things the community can do that a job board cannot:

  • Keep the answer where the next person finds it, with the name and role of who answered.
  • Let employers answer "what is it like working here" in public, before someone applies.
  • Turn a hundred pay data points into a table nobody else has.

What would you add or remove? And what would make you post a question here instead of in a WhatsApp group?
