Coffee Roaster

Black Baza Coffee Co. is a Bangalore-based specialty coffee roaster focused on biodiversity-friendly, shade-grown Indian coffee. Coffee Roaster Full-time Black Baza Coffee is seeking a passionate Coffee Roaster to ensure roasting quality, consistency of our coffee offerings. You will work closely with our production team, focusing on quality control from green coffee to final cup — all while upholding sustainability and ethical sourcing standards. Location: Bangalore Experience: 3-5 years Application Deadline: Rolling Commitment: 2 years preferred Remuneration: Based on experience (to be discussed during the first call) Responsibilities: Oversee roasting quality from monitoring roasting profiles to post-roast evaluation Develop and implement quality assurance protocols Conduct regular cupping sessions and sensory evaluations Provide feedback and improvement suggestions to the production team Qualifications: PG Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Coffee Quality, Food Science, Agriculture, or related field (Master’s preferred) 2–3 years of experience in specialty coffee or a similar environment Strong understanding of cultivation, processing, and roast chemistry Basic proficiency in cupping, sensory analysis, and flavour profiling Good communication and collaboration skills Adaptable and eager to learn If you're passionate about coffee, nature conservation, and improving producer livelihoods—and if you thrive in collaborative environments working with both farming communities and urban consumers—we’d love to hear from you.
