Production Assistant - Filled

Part time 8-24hr/wk (consistent weekly schedule once tasks and availability is established)
PRODUCTION & FULFILLMENT
ASSISTANT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary role is to assist in the packaging and distribution of coffee. The production assistant is actively seeking to continually grow personally in coffee knowledge, brewing techniques, and delivery of the end product.
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT JOB DUTIES
- Works with the Production manager to package and distribute coffee of high quality and precise consistency to the profiles and orders.
- Fulfills orders by bagging and preparing for pickup, shipping, or delivery locally.
- Ability to sell coffee in the shop, over the phone, and via email when applicable by portraying knowledge of the various coffees available, their characteristics, and differences in the coffee beans. (ie. light roast, higher acidity, tasting notes, processing, preferred brewing method, etc)
- Maintains a clean workspace. This includes equipment, countertops, utensils, and floors in the work area.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize production buckets for roasted coffee and cold brew.
- Maintain adequate levels of inventory needed to fulfill orders. Boxes, bags, stamps, etc.
- Knowledgable regarding our cold brew process and is able to take on tasks regarding cold brew production without additional assistance.
- Enhances coffee company reputation by accepting ownership of accomplishments and accepting new requests; exploring opportunities to add value to Imprint Coffee Roasting co.
- Depending on the interest and availability, responsibility may potentially include delivering product weekly on our Wednesday and Thursday routes. In addition to delivery of coffee to business and residences, picking up inventory at local distributors is necessary.
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a team player.
- Valid drivers license & able to drive the Promaster van in all types of traffic situations.
- Attention to detail/Precision
- Cleanliness. Workspace, hygiene, etc.
- Good with communication
- Ability to hear instruction and follow through
- Self-motivated to get tasks completed, such as fulfilling new orders, stocking the retail shelves, etc.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 80lb independently, 160lb with assistance.
- Have a vision for improvement. Individually, as a team, and logistically, and be able to work with the production team to make necessary improvements.
