Hood Famous Cafe + Bar is seeking to hire a friendly and passionate Bartender/ Server who sincerely enjoys the industry and has a genuine interest in creating memorable guest experiences to join our team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about spirits and cocktails, has previous bar and food service experience, is communicative and open to growing and learning.
Our bar program features seasonal craft cocktails highlighting Filipino and Asia-Pacific ingredients with a digestif-forward, dessert-pairing focus using house made syrups, shrubs, liqueurs and bitters.
We also have limited beer and wine offerings, as well as non-alcoholic drinks, alongside a small plate bar food menu.
In addition to serving drinks and interacting with customers, other responsibilities include assisting the Bar Manager and General Manager, plating and serving light bar food, dishwashing, and general bar maintenance. Familiarity with Filipino cuisine and the Chinatown-International District neighborhood is a plus.
Essential Responsibilities, Duties & Tasks:

Deliver exceptional service

Possess strong communication skills
●
Make appropriate menu suggestions and demonstrate knowledge of relevant products and services ● Take orders, operate POS and cash handling procedures accurately ● Prepare and serve drinks with quality and consistency ● Plate and serve bar food
●
Assist with food and drink prep
●
Assist with creating in-house ingredients (syrups, shrubs, liqueurs, etc)
●
Wash glasses and other dishes throughout shift
●
Maintain a clean and safe environment: wipe down surfaces, sweep, etc
●
Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
●
Follow opening and closing procedures
●
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
:
●
Must be 21+ years or older
●
At least 1 year bartending experience preferred
●
Must hold current MAST & valid food handler’s permit
●
Class 12 mixologist permit preferred
●
Reliable, punctual, and must be available to work evenings/nights and weekends ● Ability to lift 50lbs ● Ability to stand on your feet for 5+ hours with breaks Personal Qualifications :
