Position Overview
Dragon Alley Coffee Shop is seeking a motivated, energetic, and dependable Assistant Manager / Lead Barista to help lead daily operations, support team development, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
This is a leadership position that combines management responsibilities with hands-on café operations. The Assistant Manager is expected to lead by example, maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service, train and develop employees, and ensure the overall success of the store.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Assist with daily management and operation of the coffee shop. Lead by example through professionalism, work ethic, and positive attitude. Train, coach, and mentor baristas and team members. Help create employee schedules and ensure proper staffing levels. Support employee accountability, productivity, and performance. Promote a positive and respectful work environment.
Store Operations
Open and close the store according to company standards. Ensure all operational procedures are followed consistently. Maintain proper inventory levels and communicate ordering needs. Monitor food safety and health department compliance. Ensure all equipment is operating properly and report maintenance needs. Assist with managing cash handling procedures and daily deposits.
Customer Experience
Deliver outstanding customer service and hospitality. Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently. Build strong relationships with customers and community members. Ensure beverages and food items meet Dragon Alley quality standards. Support marketing events, promotions, and community outreach activities.
Barista Responsibilities
Prepare espresso beverages, coffee, matcha, teas, refreshers, and specialty drinks. Maintain consistency, presentation, and quality standards. Operate POS systems and accurately process transactions. Restock products, supplies, and ingredients as needed. Maintain cleanliness throughout the café.
Cleanliness & Safety
Ensure the café remains clean, organized, and welcoming. Conduct daily cleaning and sanitation procedures. Maintain compliance with all local health and safety regulations. Lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent. Strong customer service skills. Leadership and team-building abilities. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred
Previous coffee shop, restaurant, or retail management experience. Previous barista experience. Experience with employee training and scheduling. Inventory management experience.
