Kitchen Hand/General Store Cashier $16.50/hr, Part-time Weekends

Our small grocery store, nursery, café and bakery in Blockhouse, with a focus on supporting local farmers, producers, and artisans, is looking for someone new to join our team and help us make delicious food and baked goods, many of the ingredients for which from our own greenhouses and farm. Are you positive and energetic? Passionate about food and local agriculture? Do you work well in a team? Are you able to follow recipes and cook with seasonal produce? If so you might be the person we need!
Our store is looking for a part-time employee to come help out on weekends, preferably someone with baking or kitchen experience.
Employment Requirements:
- Must have food safety handling certification or be willing to acquire it
- Must be able to work on Sundays
Interested candidates should be:
- Creative and willing to learn
- Able to follow recipes and baking directions
- Passionate about working in kitchens/bakery (Experience considered an asset)
- Energetic and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible and able to fill in where needed
Starting Wage: $16.50/hour
