At The Barista Academy we offer barista training with a difference. Our work-ready courses get you just that - work ready. You'll graduate with the skills of a barista with one to two years experience and fast track your career opportunities.
We offer:
Hands-on training at the coffee machine and applied theory with no book work Unique training system based on brain science and sports science to get you trained in the shortest time possible Industry aligned training from highly experienced tutors Small classes with only six to eight people in a class. You each have your own machine to use and you won't have to share the steam wand, so there's no standing around
We train on a variety of different machines so whatever equipment your new cafe or bar has, you'll feel confident We offer flexible class scheduling to help you fit your training around work or university studies eg if you are unavailable for class on a Wednesday, no problem, we can add a class the following week or do a double class Graduates have access to our members-only job board, career advice, training videos and key introductions

Coming from a background with no knowledge of coffee, the barista academy has transformed an amateur person like me to now being a confident barista. I've worked as a barista at Shaky Isles, Moustache milk and cookie bar and even Wake Up NZ. This place teaches you quite a lot from steaming milk, pouring to also grinder/shots adjustments. You come out with a depth of knowledge and confidence. But the most important aspect when Finishing the course is that you will never forget what you have learnt. The teaching and guidance is practical, easy to follow, and very professional.
