Job Title: Kitchen Assistant Location: Fidalgo Fudge Co. 715 Commercial Ave. Anacortes, WA 98221 Position: Part-time: 3-10+ hrs/week (this can be a good position for a high school student after school) About Us: Fidalgo Fudge Co. is a woman-owned and operated small business known for creating high-quality, handcrafted artisan fresh fudge and other confections. Position Overview: We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our confection-making team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will assist with various tasks in the confection making process, helping to ensure that our production process runs smoothly and efficiently. If you have a passion for sweets, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to learn the art of confections, we’d love to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: - Help with the cutting, packaging and labeling of finished products. - Assist with the preparation for fudge and other confection production. - Operate kitchen equipment and machinery safely and efficiently. - Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas. - Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent product quality. - Perform routine cleaning tasks including dishes and mopping to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment. - Support other team members with various kitchen tasks as needed. Qualifications: - Must be 16+ years old - Previous experience in a kitchen or food production environment is a plus but not required. - Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately. - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. - Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. - Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds. - A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
