General Assistant at The Rye Bakery & Jempson’s Store

Hourly Rate: £12.75 per hour
Working Days: Monday to Saturday (No Sunday Working)
Hours: Flexible shifts as required
Shift Times: Between 6am – 4:30pm
Contract Type: Zero Hour

Key Responsibilities

Rye Bakery

- Assisting with daily bakery operations
- Packing and preparing bakery products
- Maintaining cleanliness and food hygiene standards
- Stock rotation and replenishment
- Supporting deliveries and moving stock
- Following health & safety procedures

Supermarket

- Serving customers professionally
- Replenishing shelves and displays
- Operating tills and handling transactions
- Assisting customers with enquiries
- Supporting departments as required
- Maintaining store standards and cleanliness

What We’re Looking For

- Flexible and reliable approach to work
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Previous retail, bakery, or customer service experience preferred but not essential
- Willingness to learn and support different areas
