STILL HAVE A LIFE.Grit & Grind Cafe is a locally owned, family-operated restaurant in Phenix City, and we're looking for dependable, energetic people to join our Front of House team. We're not a giant restaurant chain, and we don't want to operate like one. We want good people who show up, work hard, take care of our guests and enjoy being part of a small team. In return, we try to offer something that's getting harder to find in the restaurant business: good earning potential, reasonable hours, no late nights and time to actually have a life outside of work. PAY + TIPSBase pay is $8–$10/hour depending on experience, availability and position — PLUS participation in our shared tip pool. Our tip pool has historically added at least approximately $4/hour to eligible team members' earnings, and our team is currently averaging around $16/hour in total earnings including tips. That's potentially $8/hr EXTRA in tips on top of your base pay! Tips are distributed among eligible team members in addition to their hourly base wage. Tip amounts vary based on customer tipping, hours worked and other factors and are not guaranteed. Past tip earnings do not guarantee future earnings. Tips are also an accountability compensation , provide great service to unleash maximum earnings!
