Bakery Clerk / Kitchen Hand

Mackenzies Bakery is seeking a reliable and motivated Bakery Clerk/Kitchen Hand to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and enjoys both customer interaction and behind-the-scenes kitchen tasks. You will play a key role in maintaining product quality, supporting kitchen operations and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

### Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare, package, and display bakery products with a focus on consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of both front-of-house and kitchen areas
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment
- Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen duties as needed
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service to all guests
- Create and maintain a welcoming, positive environment for customers and team members
- Operate independently during shifts, managing tasks efficiently without direct supervision
- Support both front-of-house and back-of-house operations as needed

### Requirements and Preferred Skills
- Ability to work independently and remain productive when unattended
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to consistency and quality
- Basic kitchen knowledge, including food safety practices
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Positive attitude and ability to contribute to a team-oriented environment
- Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to move between customer service and kitchen duties
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Dependable and punctual
