Head of Shops (Multi-Unit Operations Lead)

The Short Version:We are Blackbird Doughnuts, and we are growing. We need an absolute rockstar to take ownership of 2-3 of our retail shops. If you love hospitality, know how to build killer teams, and are tired of working for micromanaged, suit-and-tie corporate brands, we want you!

The Role:This isn't a desk job. You are the captain of your shops. We are looking for someone who geeks out over a perfectly merchandised pastry case, knows how to read a P&L, and genuinely loves coaching a team of shift leads and baristas. You will be the bridge between our executive team and the daily hustle of the shops.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing:
- Owning the Vibe + The Standards: Making sure every shop looks, feels, and tastes like the Blackbird standard.
- Building the Bench: Hiring, training, and mentoring your Store Leads so they can run their shifts flawlessly.
- Driving the Business: Keeping an eye on the numbers (labor, waste, sales goals) and brainstorming with us on how to crush them.
- Problem Solving on the Fly: From a call-out on a Saturday morning to a broken espresso machine, you are the cool-headed leader who knows how to pivot.

Who You Are:
- You’ve done this before. You have experience managing multiple retail/food locations, or you are a high-volume General Manager ready for the next step.
- You are a people person. You know that happy teams make happy customers. You lead with empathy but aren't afraid to hold people to high standards.
- You are organized chaos. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and know how to prioritize when everything is happening at once.
- You like doughnuts. (Seriously, this is a requirement).
