Head of Coffee

Boxcar Hyde Park sits on a corner in Connaught Village, one of central London’s quietest, most characterful pockets, a short walk from Hyde Park and a world away from the tourist trail. We open at 8am every day with pastries baked fresh in-house, a seasonal brunch and lunch menu built around quality ingredients, and coffee that’s worth slowing down for. The crowd reflects the neighbourhood: regulars who come every morning, locals who linger over a long brunch, the occasional dog in tow.

Coffee is central to what we are. This role is about owning that.

THE ROLE
This is a hands-on position leading the coffee operation at Boxcar Hyde Park day to day. You’ll be on the machine, working alongside a small team, and taking genuine ownership of quality, consistency, and the experience guests have from the moment they order.

But it’s more than keeping standards. We want someone with ideas; About seasonal drinks, about how to develop the team’s knowledge, about what good coffee culture actually looks, feels, and sounds like in a neighbourhood cafe. We work closely with our suppliers and there’s real scope to be involved in those relationships and help shape what comes next.

Boxcar is a growing group with expansion on the horizon. For someone who wants to grow with it, this is a role with genuine runway.
