After closing in mid-2025, the neighbourhood favourite has reopened its doors, bringing with it an all-new daytime concept: Peh Gao Coffeeshop. Running from 8am to 4pm, Peh Gao swaps pints for breakfast plates and local comfort food, offering a menu that feels familiar yet playful. Expect classics such as the kaya butter toast (S$2.80) and nasi lemak rempah chicken (S$12), plus unexpected creations such as a mapo tofu udon (S$12). Come evening, Orh Gao Taproom takes over, serving up a refreshed menu that includes new additions such as the tofu dip + chips (S$11), alongside longtime crowd favourites. Yes, that means staples are still here, including the har cheong gai (shrimp paste chicken, S$15), Gao vinegar fries (S$15), and the OG beef rendang (S$22)!
