Boba and Brew Café – Gopaul Lands Shopping Centre

We are looking for a highly capable, technically minded, and passionate coffee professional to join our team as a Technical Lead Barista. This role is ideal for someone who loves coffee, hospitality, problem-solving, and hands-on learning. The successful applicant will work primarily on the café floor while also assisting with equipment troubleshooting, coffee quality, and technical support when needed. We are looking for someone who takes pride in both customer experience and understanding how things work behind the scenes. Responsibilities include: • Preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based beverages, teas, and café products • Delivering excellent customer service and hospitality • Maintaining consistency in coffee preparation, workflow, cleanliness, and presentation • Assisting with espresso machine, grinder, POS system, printer, internet, and equipment troubleshooting when issues arise • Helping identify and resolve minor technical, plumbing, electrical, or equipment-related issues where possible • Monitoring coffee quality, espresso extraction, workflow, and beverage consistency • Supporting training and development of newer baristas • Assisting with equipment care, upkeep, and preventative maintenance • Communicating technical or operational concerns clearly to management • Contributing positively to professionalism, standards, and team culture
