Barista

- Acquire food handler’s permit and complete Cultivated barista training.
- Maintain a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for both customers and coworkers.
- Ensure that customer service is a top priority and that customers’ needs are always met. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner, and escalate to management when appropriate.
- Prepare and serve coffee and non-coffee specialty drinks to Cultivated’s standard in the expected amount of time. Serve food items, including baked goods and lunch sandwiches. Sandwich preparation will be necessary.
- Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Implement cleaning and organizational systems, to maintain a sanitary and tidy coffee shop in accordance with health and safety regulations and employer expectations.
- Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume and unusual events.
- Work efficiently and multi-task.
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Comply with all Cultivated policies and procedures with integrity.
