- Hideto S. Director, System and Menu Development Nobuyuki is one of the founding employees of Kura Sushi USA and he continues to be instrumental in the growth and development of this organization. He began his career more than 20 years ago when he started working for Kura Sushi in Japan as a dishwasher at 19 years old. He was an incredible dishwasher and quickly became promoted to Kitchen Prep Staff and Team Leader within 2 years. After leaving the company to pursue other interests, Nobuyuki realized after 3 years that he wanted to come back to work for Kura Sushi for the long haul. Over the course of 6 years in Japan, he held the ranks of Manager in Training, Assistant Manager, restaurant Manager, Area Manager and Opening restaurant Manager. At 31 years old, he came to the U.S. to help with Kura Sushi’s presence here in the states and has since served as restaurant Manager for 4 different locations, Area Manager and Opening Manager (his current title).
