People and Culture Lead

Extract Coffee Roasters (independent B Corp specialty coffee roastery, Bristol, UK) is hiring a People and Culture Lead — a hands-on, standalone HR/People generalist role owning day-to-day People & Culture delivery across the business. Responsibilities: main operational contact for people matters; supporting managers and employees; practical guidance on employee relations (absence, performance, conduct, workplace concerns); reviewing and improving HR policies in line with UK employment law and ACAS guidance; maintaining accurate HR records and documentation; coordinating people-related payroll inputs; supporting recruitment and onboarding; identifying gaps/risks in people processes and building improvements; developing guidance, templates and manager training; embedding Extract's values. Looking for an experienced HR/People generalist (ideally SME/operational), good knowledge of UK employment law and ACAS, employee-relations experience, confidence coaching managers and HR systems/records experience. Bonus: CIPD Level 5 / HRM degree; manufacturing/food/hospitality/retail/FMCG background. Salary GBP35,000-40,000; 37.5-hr week Mon-Fri; 31 days holiday; additional sick/parental pay; free coffee; EAP; cycle-to-work; on-site parking.
