Barista / Crew Member

The ideal candidate has experience as a barista working in the coffee shop setting, enjoys making espresso and tea specialty drinks, refreshers and takes pride in their work. The barista/crew member makes $11/hr plus tips with a minimum of $12/hr and can take home up to $14/hr. The barista /crew member prepares and/or directs the preparation of food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures. Ensures appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and fraud. Greet customers as they enter and promote positive relations with guests. Maintain coffee bar and service /display area in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner; returning ingredients to storage after use to ensure freshness. Maintain personal health and sanitation standards (washing hands when using restroom, etc). Introduce customers to the menu and answer their questions. Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios etc). Prepare beverages following recipes. Serve beverages and prepared food, like breakfast items, pastries, muffins etc. Receive and process payments. Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates. Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs. Comply with health and safety regulations. Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum age is 18.
