Barista Trainers

Roasting is our core passion at Onyx. We utilize every modern technology to produce the absolute best coffee that we can. Our roasters are incredibly talented and committed to the art and science that happens in roasting. Our roasters are trained to utilize the full scope of technology and sensory skills to consistently produce great coffees. Requirements are ability to consistently lift 50lbs, proficiency in sensory skillsets and cupping, desire to learn mechanical maintenance, detail oriented, interest in learning about green sourcing and processing, and participation in overall leadership. There are 5 full time roasting positions.
Roasters average $44,000 per year. Reviews and salary raises are given every 6 months and are based on performance. Benefits include paid time off, full health insurance coverage, options for dental and vision.
