Senior Wall Staff – 20 hrs per week

We’re currently looking for a highly motivated, organised individual to join our amazing team, and help us continue to take Rock Over Climbing to the forefront of British climbing.

### Job Specification:

Senior Wall Staff will be able to work shifts as either a Duty Manager or as a Senior member of the Wall Staff team.

When working as a Duty Manager, they will perform the following duties;

- Managing the a team of instructors, reception staff, and café staff
- Ensuring the high level of customer service expected by Rock Over Climbing and its customers
- Ensuring the centre is presented to the highest quality, this involves overseeing cleaning staff and cleaning throughout the day
- Overseeing all necessary paperwork throughout the day e.g. Safety briefings, bookings and registrations
- Working with instructors to ensure a high level of quality is maintained for all instructed and coached sessions
- Representing Rock Over Climbing by acting professionally at all times

### Essential Qualities:

- Experience in building, motivating and managing teams
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Be energetic and hardworking, and able to use own initiative
- Have a positive, problem solving attitude
- Actively seek to improve the company in any way that they can.
- Available to work evenings and weekends

### Desirable:

- Hold coaching or instructor qualifications
- Previous experience of climbing coaching and instruction
- Previous experience as duty manager in a leisure centre/climbing centre
- Previous experience in a retail environment
Hours/Salary:

20 hours per week across all 3 ROC Centres. Most shifts will be at ROC Bolton and the applicant must be able to travel there.

£13.00 p/h when working as a Duty Manager

£12.80 p/h when working as a Senior Wall Staff
