3rd-Grade Teacher (General Studies)

We are seeking a 5th-grade General Studies Teacher to join our team of excellent educators. The 5th-grade classroom teacher will collaborate with teachers, students, families, and administrators on creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. The teacher will deliver instruction aligned with state and National Standards, support diverse learners, and foster a love of learning. The 5th-grade teacher will report directly to the Principal of the Lower and Middle School. This will be a full-time position. Starting: August 2026. Salary Range: $45,000 or commensurate with experience. Key Responsibilities: Plan and teach lessons in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies aligned with state and national standards. Use a variety of instructional strategies to differentiate and meet the needs of all learners. Incorporate technology, project-based learning units, and hands-on activities to enhance learning. Establish and maintain clear classroom rules and expectations to create consistent and fair practices. Create a positive and respectful classroom culture that promotes student responsibility and independence. Assess, monitor, and document student progress through formative and summative assessments. Maintain open and positive communication with parents/guardians. Participate in parent-teacher conferences. Collaborate with grade-level team members, support staff, and administration. Participate in school meetings, professional development, and school events. Support students’ social-emotional development.
