Head Gardener

We are seeking an exceptional Head Gardener to lead the gardens at Mapperton, one of Dorset’s most celebrated historic estates.

This is a rare opportunity to shape and care for gardens of national significance, set within a remarkable landscape that blends heritage, design and evolving horticulture. The role offers both creative and practical leadership, overseeing the continued development of the gardens while maintaining their historic character and seasonal beauty.

Working closely with the wider estate team, the Head Gardener will play a key role in delivering an outstanding visitor experience, as well as contributing to the long-term vision for Mapperton’s gardens and grounds.
