About This Role

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise cafe staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen personnel.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Schedule shifts, assign duties, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure high standards of service and efficiency.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure exceptional customer service by greeting guests, addressing inquiries and concerns, and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor service quality and implement improvements to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures, cleanliness, and maintenance.
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and track expenses to optimize cost efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.

Menu Development and Quality Control:

  • Collaborate with the chef or kitchen team to develop and update the cafe menu, ensuring variety, quality, and profitability.
  • Monitor food and beverage preparation to maintain consistency and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular taste tests and gather feedback from customers to refine menu offerings.

Financial Administration:

  • Prepare and manage the cafe budget, forecasting revenue and expenses, and monitoring financial performance.
  • Analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to maximize profitability and achieve sales targets.
  • Prepare financial reports and communicate performance metrics to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in cafe or restaurant management, with a minimum of [X] years in a supervisory role.
