About This Role
Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery (PMAG), an independent Accredited Museum in Hampshire, is seeking to appoint an experienced consultant (or consultancy team) to undertake a Business and Organisational Review as part of its National Lottery Heritage Fund–supported Resilience Project.
Following a major capital redevelopment completed in 2021, PMAG is now focused on establishing a sustainable and resilient operating model. This commission will play a key role in refining and implementing that model.
**The Opportunity**
The appointed consultant will work with Trustees, staff, and volunteers to:
- Review PMAG’s financial, operational, and governance model
- Refine and assess future operating options already identified
- Support the development of an implementable Business Plan
- Inform a realistic and prioritised fundraising approach
- Provide a clear, phased implementation plan
**Contract Details**
- Fee: £30,000 (exclusive of VAT)
- Duration: Approx. 25–35 days over a six-month period
- Timing: Within the parameters set out in the full brief
- Location: Hybrid (remote working with some on-site engagement in Petersfield)
**Who We’re Looking For**
We are seeking a consultant or team with:
- Experience of organisational review or business planning in the museums, heritage, or cultural sector
- Strong financial and analytical capability
- Experience of working with Boards and small organisations in transition
- A collaborative and pragmatic approach
- We welcome proposals from individual consultants or small teams/consortia where this strengthens delivery.
