Bartender at The Roost DC
Show of Hands + Shelter + Private Events
We are hiring a bartender to join our team at The Roost, a high-volume neighborhood food hall in DC. This role is based across both Show of Hands and Shelter, with additional opportunities to work private events.
Bartenders will be trained to work in both spaces, gaining experience in high-volume service, craft cocktails, and guest-driven hospitality.
About the Bars
Show of Hands
Our cocktail bar focused on innovative, seasonal menus and a deep library of spirits. This is a creative environment for someone interested in techniques, spirits, and guiding guests through a thoughtful cocktail experience.
Shelter
A beer hall inspired bar featuring 50+ rotating drafts, with a strong wine and fun cocktail list. It is fast-paced and guest-focused.
Private Events
Our team supports a wide range of private events. Bartenders are responsible for setting up the bar and creating a welcoming, polished experience for each group.
What We’re Looking For
- 1 to 2 years bartending experience
- Strong interest in cocktails, spirits, and craft beer
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment while staying organized and composed
- A team-first mindset and strong communication skills
- Interest in learning, growing, and expanding knowledge
- Comfort interacting with guests and guiding their experience
Responsibilities
- Work across both Show of Hands and Shelter
- Deliver consistent, high-quality service in a fast-paced environment
- Engage with guests and provide thoughtful recommendations
- Support bar setup and execution for private events
- Contribute to a positive, team-driven work environment
Availability
- Full-time or part-time positions available
- Must be available Wednesdays, Thursdays, and weekends
