Production Coffee Roasting Assistant

A Production Roasting Assistant plays a key role in our daily coffee roasting operations. Working closely with the production team, this position assists with roasting, sampling, quality control, packaging, and order fulfillment. Successful candidates are hardworking, driven, and passionate about coffee. They thrive in a team environment and genuinely enjoy collaborating with others.

Requirements/Experience
- Strong sensory skills (taste and smell)
- Ability to learn quickly and be teachable
- Mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn basic equipment maintenance
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team
- Basic computer skills, including comfort with spreadsheets and graphs
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Must have a clean and valid driver’s license (if driving is required)
- Two years in the coffee industry preferred

Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience: Customer service: 1 year (Required)
Mechanical Knowledge: 1 year (Required)

Work Location: Warehouse / On the road

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Arrive punctually and ready to work each shift
- Report directly to the manager and follow instructions
- Complete tasks in a timely and professional manner
- Stay productive and keep busy during shop hours
- Maintain the cleanliness and good working order of the company equipment and facilities
- Bagging and labeling retail/wholesale
- Assist in creating profiles for new coffees
- Regular cuppings for QC and new coffee
- Unloading coffee pallets
- Maintain inventory records

Job Type: Full-time
8 to 4 PM Mon-Fri.

Compensation
$17-$18 per/hr or TBD by management
