Full Time Chef

Mickey’s Beach Cafe, Machroes Beach is looking for a motivated, organised and trustworthy individual to lead our small kitchen team over a busy summer period. We’re open 9.00am to 5.00pm, so no late nights and you will be working on one of North Wales’ most beautiful beaches.

We’re open 1st March to 31st October but this opportunity could lead to all round employment in other parts of the business. Please note, the venue is in a remote location and not serviced by public transport so candidates must have their own car. However, we do have accommodation a 15 minute walk away, which we’d be happy to offer to the right candidate, for £300 a month with all bills included.

**Responsibilities:**

- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen and food production
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Candidates must have their own transport as the venue is remote and not well serviced by public transport.

**Leadership:**

- Ability to effectively lead a team, delegate tasks, and provide guidance and support
- Experience in high volume breakfast service is preferred but not essential
- Experience in supervising kitchen staff, ensuring productivity and maintaining a positive work environment
- Proficiency in managing food production processes, including portion control, recipe adherence, and quality assurance
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming dining experience for guests
- Knowledge of proper food handling procedures, sanitation guidelines, and health regulations

**Contract length:**5 months

**Pay:**£15.00 per hour

**Expected hours:**No less than 45 per week
