About This Role

We're seeking a reliable, highly professional and enthusiastic front of house supervisor to lead the team and support overall venue growth. This hands-on leadership role requires all rounder hospitality skills including barista work, team supervision, section waitressing (in evenings) and operational oversight. You'll also work closely with the owner-operators to ensure all services run smoothly and efficiently. The supervisor role is an ongoing full time position— with some flexibility for preferred days off, but availability on one weekend day and one evening per week is a must. Typical days off are Sunday/Monday but open to discussion dependent on preference. We open at 8am each day, with the earliest start time being 7:30am. We are licensed until 9pm so evenings are not super late. Salary range is $60-70,000 per annum dependent on skill-level, availability and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Produce consistent high quality coffee and beverages
- Oversee daily operations providing excellent customer service and efficient workflow
- Supervise and guide team members (including younger staff), leading by example across all roles and responsibilities
- Handle opening/closing duties, venue cleanliness, some inventory monitoring, and restocking
- Take orders, serve food/drinks, manage transactions, and resolve customer inquiries professionally
- Strong POS skills required and have the ability (or willingness to learn) to manage the floor on evenings (20 max patrons at a time)

Skills and Experience Required:
- At least 2 years supervisory/leadership experience in hospitality (or equivalent)
- Minimum 12 months barista experience with consistent high-quality output
- Section waitressing and wine knowledge experience highly advantageous
- Strong all-rounder skills and willingness to tackle varied tasks (barista, service, food preparation, retail, cleaning)
- Ability to train and guide junior staff members
- Fast, efficient and calm during peak periods
- Excellent communication, organisation, quick thinking, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for great coffee, high quality food, customer service, local producers, and contributing to business growth
