Counter Staff

Position Summary: Functions as a barista to prepare specialty coffee drinks and as food preparation team member to assemble soups, salads, sandwiches, to scoop ice-cream and to prepare ice cream cones, shakes, malts and sundaes. This position will greet and assist customers with their selection of food and drink items, describe menu items such as soups, salads, sandwiches, breakfast items, local specialties, grab and go items, lattes, cappuccinos, and other hot and cold drinks. Other responsibilities include: assisting guests with purchases of other items such as books and local art, bussing dining room tables, using Point of Sale (POS) system to transmit food and drink orders to kitchen and complete payment transactions, washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, and other cleaning tasks. The Falling Rock serves customers in our #1 rated Trip Advisor, non-franchise, fast-paced café and bookstore. We work in a collaborative team environment to assist customers with food and beverage choices, book and art purchases, and assist in creating a positive experience for customers arriving for live music and other special events.
