About This Role

**About Us**

Beanstock is a specialty coffee roastery focused on producing high-quality, expressive, and approachable coffees. We take pride in consistency, attention to detail, and doing things the right way.

**The Role**

We’re hiring a seasonal coffee roaster for the upcoming busy season (spring through early fall).

This is a hands-on role working directly in production, with a focus on learning and executing the roasting process at a high level.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to develop real skills in coffee roasting, not just be around coffee.

**What You’ll Do**

- Assist with and execute coffee roasting
- Monitor roast profiles and take detailed notes
- Prepare and stage green coffee
- Handle post-roast processes (cooling, storage, organization)
- Participate in cupping and quality control
- Support general production as needed

**What We’re Looking For**

This role is a good fit for someone who:

- Has strong attention to detail
- Can stay focused for extended periods
- Is comfortable with repetition and precision
- Is curious and asks thoughtful questions
- Is reliable, consistent, and coachable

**Training & Development**

You’ll be trained directly under Beanstock’s national award-winning head roaster, with exposure to:

- roast development
- coffee evaluation and cupping
- production workflow and consistency

This is a great opportunity for someone serious about learning the craft.

**Schedule**

- 3 days per week
- Daytime hours
- Seasonal (spring through early fall)

**Compensation & Perks**

- $20/hour
- Free coffee to take home
- End-of-summer bonus (for team members who stay through Labor Day)

**Future Opportunity**

For the right person, there is potential to stay on longer-term and take on more responsibility if it’s a strong fit.

**How to Apply**

Email your resume and a short note about your interest in coffee to [email protected].

Include the word “roast” in the subject line so we know you’ve read the full posting.

Tell us about a time you had to focus closely on a repetitive or detail-heavy task.

Please DO NOT call or drop in.
