Bicycle Mechanic and Service Representative

What We’re About: We’re a small shop specializing in e-cargo bikes, mountain bikes and gravel bikes. We only sell new bikes, but we don't shy away from service on older machines. Our storefront is small, but gives a very unique experience given the espresso machine humming a few feet away. Perhaps most importantly, we serve the Sloan’s Lake / Highlands community, and as such we put a huge emphasis on friendly neighborhood vibes from the day-to-day meeting and greeting of customers, to the many events we host out of the shop. What You’ll Do: Diagnose and repair all types of bikes, with a focus on e-cargo, gravel, mountain, and commuter bikes. Perform full tune-ups, including but not limited to: deep cleaning, wheel truing, drivetrain adjustments, brake bleeds, and e-bike diagnostics. Assemble new bicycles to a very high standard. When needed, provide stellar customer service at our front desk. This includes service writing, answering questions, offering advice, and explaining repairs in a friendly, approachable way. We’re Looking For Someone Who: Has prior bike mechanic experience, and is able to service every part of most bicycles. Communicates clearly with both customers and teammates. Brings attention to detail to every repair and maintains a clean, organized, and efficient service area. Recommended: Experience on bike shop sales floors is a plus. Recommended: Experience service writing, diagnosis of common service items. Recommended: Availability full or part time--we're open Tuesday-Sunday--flexible availability is a plus!
