Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week across 7-days. The Pitt comes alive in the evenings and on weekends, so the normal working pattern includes regular weekends with days off typically taken Monday-Thursday.

We are looking for an outstanding individual to lead our Front of House (FOH) Team and help shape an exceptional visitor experience. ### Role Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Operations and Programme, the Visitor Experience (VE) Manager is responsible for ensuring every visitor at The Pitt has a positive, memorable experience. Leading by example, you’ll set and maintain high customer service standards, carry out regular site inspections, and help build an inclusive, welcoming environment for all. Key responsibilities include increasing food and beverage sales, responding to visitor feedback, and supporting clear communication across departments. The role also involves staff recruitment, training, managing financial targets, and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations. Overall, the VE Manager will boost visitor engagement, encourage repeat visits, and support the ongoing success of Granton Project CIC.

**Key Responsibilities**
**Visitor Experience and Resident Relations**:

- Ensure the FOH Team consistently delivers an exceptional visitor experience to encourage repeat visits and build long-term engagement with The Pitt.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain standards, identify issues, and coordinate departments for necessary work.
- Ensure FOH staff are trained to confidently share The Pitt’s stories to promote an inclusive, accessible visitor experience.
- Actively promote F&B sales at The Pitt to enrich the visitor experience and achieve income targets.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all events and communicate this effectively to the team.
- Collect and monitor visitor feedback, analysing trends, and reporting insights to the Senior Management Team.
- Represent the FOH Team at cross-departmental meetings and other planning sessions as appropriate.
- Handle all visitor enquiries and feedback professionally and efficiently.
- Perform duty manager and event delivery roles as required.
- Stay informed about front-of-house management best practices to keep the organisation relevant and appealing.
**Leadership and Management**

- Inspire and motivate the FOH Team to ensure that excellent customer service standards are always delivered and all operational requirements are met.
- Recruit and develop enthusiastic and committed FOH staff to achieve Granton Project CIC’s objectives and communicate key messages to visitors.
- Deliver a training programme for FOH staff encompassing inclusive customer service, organisational knowledge, accessibility and health and safety.
- Ensure the contribution of the team is recognised and they have a rewarding experience.
- Ensure effective communication across the FOH Team through daily briefings, regular team meetings, training days and other forms of communication.
