Zufreeden is a cozy gluten-free cafe-bakery, run by two Canadian sisters whose goal is to expand the accessibility of gluten-free products in Zurich, and spread happiness with their tasty goods baked from the heart. Products include a variety of Swiss and North American breads, savory dishes, and desserts. 🥖 Kitchen hand + assistant baker 80 –100% from April 2026. What we are looking for: Appropriate work permit for Switzerland (B or C permit or citizenship) Very good knowledge of English and ideally some German language proficiency Experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery Friendly manner and willingness to work both independently and in a small team Ideally, experience in preparing simple dishes such as scrambled eggs, fried eggs or poached eggs. Your tasks: Responsible for managing the food preparation of the kitchen for the cafe - making sandwich fillings and sandwiches, assembling or packaging products, cutting desserts, displaying food for service Preparing and packaging all customer preorders Maintaining systems for good stock management including inventory control Working with our baker to form breads or assist decorating Baking breads or desserts Simple cooking tasks like making eggs in multiple ways On Saturdays responsible for monitoring food levels throughout service and organizing top ups On Saturdays possibly helping the service team upstairs to keep on top of dishes and deliver food or drinks to tables.
