Barista

Harpoon Hanna's is seeking a Barista who is totally awesome, works well with humans and is reliable. We need good people to serve coffee, tea, shakes, uncomplicated food items and other products at our coffee shop. The ability to multi-task and think on your toes is essential. Previous experience is not needed, just the desire to be a sponge when we train you on how we do thangs. Job Details: Pay- $15/hr Job Type- full time/part time Schedule- Monday- Saturday, 6am-5pm Bennies- Paid training, discounted food and beverage Responsibilities: Prepare/Serve coffee and other beverages (e.g. tea, milk, juice and smoothies) to customers. Take orders from customers through various methods (in-person, phone, online etc.). Check for quality and consistency across products, for example by checking temperature of coffee and taste. Ensure the supply of fresh consumables (e.g. muffins, croissants, scones etc.) at all times. Follow safety guidelines to minimize health risks such as food poisoning. Maintain cleanliness of equipment, kitchen, and seating area such that it is germ-free and tidy. Organize end-of-day tasks like; cleaning equipment and setting up for the following day's service.
