Cake Decorator

Queen of Cakes in Edina is looking for an experienced Cake Decorator to join our team! We are a well-known bakery located in Edina, MN, renowned for our delicious cakes. Queen of Cakes specializes in custom decorated cakes for all occasions. Each and every cake we create is special and unique, made to order for any special occasion. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for helping us fulfill that promise by creating custom cakes to our customers’ specifications, designing attractive and creative cake displays, and providing excellent customer service.

**Responsibilities:**
- Design and decorate custom cakes for weddings, birthdays, and other special occasions
- Follow specific recipes and instructions to create desired flavors and textures
- Create attractive displays of cakes in store cases
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and providing suggestions to customers
- Ensure the bakery is clean and well-stocked with supplies
- Manage inventory of ingredients, track orders, and restock shelves as needed

**Requirements**:
- Experience as a cake decorator required - grocery store experience is ok.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and recipes
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining high standards of quality
- Knowledge of cake decoration techniques such as fondant work, buttercream icing, chocolate work etc
- Great customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to create unique designs from customer instructions
- Artistic background is preferred.

**Pay**:
- Hourly rate available upon request

**Schedule:**
- Part-time hours to start but full-time hours can be considered
- **Saturdays are required**with Sundays and Mondays off
