About This Role
The bartender role is tasked with serving drinks following established guidelines, procedures, and policies for food and beverage safety controls as prescribed by company standards. He or she will interact with guests and staff in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner. A server/bartender is responsible for ringing in guest checks, handling money and processing credit card payments following company policies and procedures. Bartenders assist with seasonal menu changes and being creative when making those menus. Providing assistance to diners when selecting drinks and/or wine pairing for dinner are also expected and encouraged. Qualifications include but are not limited to at least one year of experience in a restaurant setting, fine dining preferred. He or she has previous experience handling money and (POS) and credit/debit card processing systems and can work a varied schedule of lunches and dinners. There may be times where you are also asked to work nights, weekends, and holidays if extra help is needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills, good time management, and professional behavior are all required for this position. Knowledge of all dishes and drinks to make educated recommendations to our guests is critical to the success of the restaurant.
