Kitchen Team Member

We make all of our ice cream in our Kitchen on West 25th Street in the historic Ohio City neighborhood in Cleveland. Our Kitchen Team includes ice cream makers, bakers and kitchen utility workers. We staff our Kitchen seven days per week from 7am – 11pm. We offer part-time, full-time and seasonal Kitchen positions. A flexible schedule with availability to work at least one weekend day is preferred. Full-time Team Members must have the flexibility to work some evening shifts and at least one weekend day shift. We hire non-smokers. Job Description The Kitchen Team makes ice creams, sauces and baked items. We have the highest standards for cleanliness and sanitation, and every Team Member spends time helping to keep the Kitchen clean. A background in food service is not required; every Team Member is trained to follow precise recipes and procedures for cleaning and sanitation. Other primary requirements and responsibilities include:• Maintaining a positive, helpful attitude and working with a sense of cooperation and camaraderie with your fellow Team Members.• Working with hustle, speed and efficiency.• 8-hour shifts• Staying focused and on task throughout your shift.• Motivated to learn new skills and assist other Team Members when needed.• Following proper food handling and safety standards.• Cleaning, sanitizing, assisting in ice cream prep, ice cream making and/or baking.• Preparing sauces, toppings, baked goods and flavor ingredients for ice creams.• Learn techniques and procedures on how to prep workstations, follow precise recipes and cleaning procedures for ice cream making.• Packing and labeling pints for distribution.• Ability to lift 50 lbs., making ice cream is very physical work.
