Barista

### **What you’ll do:**
- Contribute to a team of hard-working ‘spro-pros by bringing your A-game, valuing quality, customers, and the people that work alongside them
- Prepare coffee and espresso beverages to PERC standards
- Uphold PERC’s mission and values in their work
- Demonstrate knowledge of coffee, PERC standard practices, and PERC brand
- Provide exceptional hospitality that exceeds customer service expectations
- Communicate effectively with guests and teammates
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas, following ServSafe guidelines.
- Be on time, in the right place, in the right uniform, with the right attitude

### **We’re looking for people who:**
- Have an inclusive mindset and team-player attitude
- Have coffee curiosity (industry experience is a plus, but not required!)
- Have a service-first mentality with a willingness to learn
- Communicate professionally using active listening and being fully present
- Have a positive outlook and solution-oriented
- Open to giving and receiving feedback, positive and constructive
- Are dependable, able to fulfill work commitments while being punctual
- Can stand for up to 8 hours, repeatedly lift and carry up to 30lbs, and make repetitive hand and arm motions, including tamping espresso
- Ability to participate in quality assurance of products served, including tasting espresso

### **Job Requirements:**
- Part-time and full-time barista positions as available
- Part-time is 10–29 hrs/week or 2 to 4 shifts a week
- Full-time is 30–40 hrs/week or 4 to 5 shifts a week
- Shifts start between 6am -12pm
- Weekend availability required
- Training includes 6 sessions over 2 weeks (3 off-bar and 3 shadow shifts)
