Part-Time Event Production Staff

Smorgasburg LA is looking for part time event staff to join our fun and hard working team! We are a weekly food and shopping market that happens every Sunday in DTLA featuring over 60 vendors, live DJs, a beer and wine garden, and more. Part-Time Event Production Staff Position is one day a week: Every Sunday 6am-6pm. Pay is a day rate of $210, and you will be required to fill out a W-4 and an I-9. There is potential for advancement. Event Production Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Set up and break down of the market, including moving and placing heavy picnic tables, benches, tents, barricades, etc • Basic Customer Service tasks, while the market is open, including answering questions, selling merchandise, problem solving, crowd control, etc.Ideal applicant will...• Be available every single Sunday• Have no problem getting to work on time early in the morning• Have a positive attitude • Enjoy being outdoors• Be able and willing to do physically taxing work, including the lifting and moving of heavy objects every week• Be able to deal with the public with a happy and positive attitude• Be able to follow instructions, but also take initiative when the situation calls for it• Be eager and willing to take on more responsibility as time goes on, and grow with the company• Take pride in what we do every single Sunday• Have passion for what the market and our vendors have to offer• Have experience in outdoor events, festival and/or event production... but it's not 100% necessary.
