Cafe Barista/Server & Retail Associate

Summary: New Amsterdam Cafe is a restaurant, retail shop, lounge, and experience! We are looking for part-time Barista/Server & Retail Associates for this position that will be part of the floor team who are responsible for elevating and enhancing the New Amsterdam Cafe guest experience. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for executing day to day operations of the Café Hosting, Serving Tables, Taking Orders, Selling Retail, Cleaning, Food & Beverage Preparation Educates customers by presenting and explaining how to experience the cafe which includes a fun food & drink menu, impressive rental menu, wide retail selection, and a dope membership program Ensure all food & beverages, and retail products are presented in a way that meets our quality standards (food prep & presentation) Represent our brand and clearly exemplify the company values and vision Welcomes customers by determining their interests and needs. Generates sales by upselling products, attracting new customers; explaining new and expanded services and products that New Amsterdam Cafe has to offer Work with POS system (taking orders, closing transactions, inventory etc) Assists with ordering food & beverage, packaging supplies, retail and monitoring inventory Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following health & safety standards (FoodSafe requirements, COVID Protocol) Maintaining and improving the appearance of the cafe & retail experience Review & write reviews for products on our website Work Experience: 1-2 Years of serving experience required 1-2 Years of Retail experience preferred Cannabis knowledge an asset Part-Time (3-4 shifts per week) | $16/hr + tips (split with entire day staff)
