Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the menu items. Greet guests immediately on arrival with courtesy and smile and present them with the menu as soon as they are seated. Take food and beverage orders accurately and repeat it to guests for confirmation. Memorize and be knowledgeable about restaurant menu and ingredients. Use established food handling and serving techniques. Upsell food and beverage items throughout the meal. Monitor guest & needs and promptly handle requests. Inform supervisor or management about the comments and suggestions of the guests. Maintain the table setting by clearing courses as completed, replacing utensils, refreshing water glasses, dealing with spills. Prepare and provide guests with accurate check for the meal. Prepare to-go boxes for guests. Maintain a clean and organized service area. Dispose of trash according to established procedures. Perform any side-work as requested. Comply with safety, health and hygiene policies and procedures and follow rules and regulations of the company at all times.
