Line Chef

Vacancy: Not specific Job Responsibilities Must be Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food preparation, hygiene, and safety, food handling procedures, and following written instructions Must be able to read and understand in English and Bengali Set up station according to restaurant guidelines Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant Restock all items as needed throughout the shift Clean and maintain station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Head Chef, Sous Chef or Floor Manager at any time To appropriately delegate and assist in all tasks delegated within the section To accurately carry out instructions received by line manager during service To accurately and calmly give instructions to junior staff during service and assist if necessary in the completion of the instructions Ability to take direction Ability to work in a team environment Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized Should be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 kgs Employment Status: Full-time Educational Requirements Diploma in hotel/restaurant management is desirable A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative Experience Requirements At least 1 year(s) Additional Requirements Age 18 to 35 years Both males and females are allowed to apply Demonstrate good knife skills Show interest and knowledge of flavor and food products Show good practice in working hygienically around food Attention to detail Possess basic math skills Job Location: Dhaka Salary: Negotiable Deadline: 13 Aug 2022
