Join Our Team as a General Manager! Edgar's Bakery is looking for a passionate, motivated General Manager to oversee one of our Huntsville retail locations in a fast-paced, rewarding environment where growth is encouraged. Position Summary: Direct and coordinate all activities of an Edgar's Bakery retail location, achieving food cost, labor, and supply goals while upholding high standards of quality and customer service. Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence: manage daily operations, food safety, and cleanliness standards Leadership: recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team Financial Accountability: control food, labor, and supply costs using forecasts and budget analysis Customer Experience: address complex inquiries and ensure satisfaction Employee Development: conduct training and performance evaluations Inventory Management: order products and supplies based on business needs Staff Management: scheduling, payroll, and HR compliance Essential Skills and Experience High school diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree in foodservice or business-related field preferred) At least 3 years of supervisory/management experience in foodservice or retail, OR 1 year with a relevant degree Proficiency in Windows-based programs; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Strong customer service and leadership background Compensation & Benefits: $55,000-$65,000 per year, plus 401(k) with matching, health/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, paid training, employee discounts, and professional development opportunities. Physical demands include standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, and reaching. All candidates must pass a drug screening and background check. Work location: in person. Relocation to the Huntsville, AL area required before starting.
