Shop Manager

We're looking for a fantastic human excited to lead a team of dedicated baristas and create a positive and welcoming environment that reflects our passion for awesome coffee and next-level hospitality. You will oversee daily operations, manage inventory, ensure high standards of coffee preparation, and, most importantly, cultivate a customer-first mindset across the entire team. Your leadership will drive us on our collective mission to share good times and awesome coffee with people at every step of their coffee journey.What you’ll do:Lead with kindness and hospitalityCreating a welcoming environment for guests and teamManage inventory, purchasing, and waste monitoringOversee hiring, onboarding, training, and schedulingCreate schedules in accordance to shop-specific needs and labor goals.Act as shift coverage when other options are unavailableHandle labor management, payroll, and compliance with regulationsConduct annual performance reviewsManage employee professional developmentFacilitate employee counseling, development and feedbackCollaborate with lead barista to improve training, menus, and workflowsMaintain shop cleanliness, equipment maintenanceMaintain food safety complianceTrack performance data and implement shop-specific SOPsCollaborate with other managers to share best practicesPerform all duties required of baristasUphold PERC’s mission and values in their workWhat we’re looking for people who:Have at least one year of specialty coffee experienceHave at least one year of leadership experienceHave a service-first mentality with a willingness to learnHave an inclusive mindsetThrive on a team and enjoys leading by exampleCommunicate effectively and professionallyUses active listening and is fully presentHas excellent problem-solving skillsHas the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Are skilled in professional development, organizationIs an autonomous decision-makerHave a positive outlook and a team-first mentalityIs able to give and receive constructive feedbackAbility to stand for up to 8 hours, repeatedly lift and carry up to 30lbsParticipate in quality assurance of products, including tasting espressoJob Requirements:Have specialty coffee and barista experience for a minimum of one yearLeadership or management experience, kitchen experience is a plusWe hire for shop manager positions as availableFull-time salaried position - 5 days/week,Weekend availability requiredCompensation & Benefits:$55,000 annuallyHealth, vision, & dental insurancePaid time offPaid sick leaveFree coffee and swagThe job description above does not list each and every job responsibility of a manager.
